Welcome to rue de Lancry where we redefined the space of an old studio to make it fresh, welcoming, and easy to work in. This is a design office where designers need clarity to see all colours, shapes and materials without being disturbed by their surroundings.
The main focus was set on creating a neutral environment. The main challenge was to achieve this without being boring. We wanted to bring a little fun to the space.
This project was brought to life in close collaboration with architect Eva Helft. ✻
To obtain this delicate balance between neutral and joyful, we didn't add many stylistic details. We chose to focus on one strong feature: the perspective designed by the rounded arches.
The use of colour follows the same rule. We mainly used white, but by placing precise touches of colour, the whole space feels colourful.
Choices of materials and furniture were also part of the process.
We asked Bina Baitel to design the big entry bar with two specific materials: Fior di Pesco marble and hammered and perforated mirror polished stainless steel.
