We designed the visual identity for the very Parisan brasserie Brass, located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, we focused on achieving an aesthetic typical of a grand Parisian brasserie, drawing inspiration from figures such as Boris Vian and Miles Davis and from the world of music, brass instruments and musical notations. This influence is expressed through subtle graphic details incorporated into the identity.
The lettering design for the logo directly references logos from the music world of the 1950s. As usual, we love working on manufacturing. This project presented the perfect opportunity to work with brass. We had brass plates produced and decorated to create signage and the title of the wine list. The brass rod that binds the wine list together is reminiscent of the music stands on which sheet music is placed, and we also decorated all the tableware.
We developed the project in close collaboration with architect Dorothée Meilichzon, working on colour choices to ensure the overall coherence of the space. ✦
